Access Point LED Diagnostics

What the LEDs mean

The Access Point has three status LEDs. Once it's paired and connected normally, the Status and Link lights are usually solid, and the Wi-Fi HaLow light can be solid or flashing.

Diagnosing by LED

Status LED off or flashing

Usually a power or boot issue.

  1. Check that the USB-C cable is fully seated at both ends and the power source is working. Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter if you have one.
  2. Give the unit 1–2 minutes to fully boot after powering on - flashing during startup is normal and should settle to solid green once boot completes.
  3. If it never settles, unplug for 10 seconds and power back on. If it still won't settle, this may indicate a hardware fault and yoo'll need to  contact support.

 

Wi-Fi HaLow LED is OFF

Indicates the sub-GHz HaLow radio isn't linked (relevant if this Access Point is paired with an extender or a HaLow camera).

  1. Confirm the external antenna is firmly screwed on. A loose or missing antenna is the most common cause of a dropout issue.
  2. Reboot the Access Point and the Camera or Extender

 

Link LED off or flashing

During boot-up, the Link LED will flash yellow while the device initialises the handshake with the router. Once the handshake completes, the LED will change to solid green.

Continuous Blinking Yellow:

Indicates an issue connecting to your home router and a connection has not been established.

  1. Confirm the Ethernet cable between the Access Point and your home router's LAN port is fully clicked in at both ends, and try a different cable if available.
  2. Confirm your home router is powered on and its own internet connection is working.
  3. Try the other Ethernet port on the Access Point (Port1/Port2) in case one port has an issue.
  4. Power-cycle both your home router and the Access Point.


Other Checks:

  • Check for an ISP outage
    If every device in the home has lost internet at the same time, the issue is upstream of the Access Point.
  • Avoid double NAT
    If the Access Point is connected behind another router that's also issuing its own IP addresses, devices can behave unpredictably. Where possible, connect the Access Point directly to the modem/router acting as the main gateway.
  • Check DHCP
    The Access Point is a DHCP client by default, meaning it expects your router to hand it an IP address. If your router has a limited DHCP pool that's full, the Access Point may fail to get an address. You can check this on your router's connected-devices list.

Raise a support ticket for further troubleshooting or contact the support team directly. Describe which LED(s) are affected and what colour/pattern you're seeing as this is the fastest way for support to identify whether it's a network issue or a device fault.
